1996 Jeanneau International 50, blue water cruiser sailboat with style and grace. This 50’ sloop is a real heartthrob & moves ably in all weathers. She just finished a major upgrade & refit in St. Maarten. The boat is at Shelter Island Marina, San Diego.

Forward captains cabin is the owner’s version with new, elevated memory foam queen bed with his & hers matching heads. 2 matching guest staterooms, port & starboard, aft. Horseshoe galley w/ new Force 10 stove & Microwave is opposite the elegantly appointed main salon settee with mahogany dinning table. This over looked by a NEW FLAT screen TV, with DVD player & hard drive w/ over 800 movies makes those long passages a delight. The interior was redone by an interior decorator from San Diego making her the envy of everyone in the marina.

Navigation station is well equipped w/ New NavTex weather fax, Garmin GPS, Computer plotter with worldwide CD mapping and tracking, VHF, stereo throughout, Motorola GlobalStar Satellite phone w/ email for instant worldwide communication.

All new autopilot instrumentation and tracking installed plus new compasses and binnacles. Extensive rewiring and upgrading of the electrical system Trace Inverter, new deep cycle batteries really keep the lights burning bright all night. E1000 Honda generator as quiet as a whisper, keeps the batteries up to snuff on long passages. 50’ of shore AC cabling with 30AMP adaptors.

The 85 horsepower Perkins M90 diesel just purrs & at 1400 RPM’s, she doesn’t use but 3/5th., of a gallon per hour. The engine has been serviced every 200hrs. Hours run: 10000hrs, engine was complete striped in place, June 2007 and all seals, head, pumps, rebuilt. Top end, pumps, hoses, AC, alternator are all-new and the oil is drinkable. I promise you this motor is blessed. She runs perfectly and has many hours of service left in her. I would not hesitate to drive her to Australia as is.

All 4 heads have NEW shower motors, toilet pumps and filters; high-pressure water system is all-new as is the bilge plumbing. She is as dry as a bone.

Topside we have replaced most of the rigging, serviced all winches, all new goosenecks, ran new lines, re-did the dodger and Bimini covers. Almost every hatch was replaced as well as gaskets to make her watertight. All hatches have exterior blue covers, shades inside. New stainless BBQ, flagpole & solar mooring lights give her a real welcome aboard look in port.

Mainsail is triple reefed and in excellent condition, near newer 120% Genoa, w/ racing genie and spinnaker, plus Jibe pole, boat hooks with plenty of spare lines

CQR anchor and Danforth anchor with 300’ of ¾” chain hooked to a stand up windlass with spare ground tackle give you peace of mind in those secluded moorings or hiding out from a blow.

2004, 12’ Caribe, inflatable dingy w/ 5 hpw Tahatsu motor with oars & storage compartment give you plenty of room to haul the folks aboard.

New 6 man life raft with 8 lifejackets, 3 heavy weather deck harnesses, full seat harness boson’s chair, safety lines bumpers with matching blue covers keep you & her safe & sound.

Fancy,.. has been hauled out; recent professional SURVEY,…repaint bottom, rebuilt rudder, pulled prop shaft & had it trued w/ all new seals/ bearings plus a bronze 4 blade prop to really push her along. Her winged keel & beam give her stability you want when you spend a lot of time aboard & twin helms give you and your wife something to fight over.

This boat is clean, smells new and is ready for your adventure. She is called Fancy & aptly named; she is U.S. Documented, USCG registered, fully insured and we have the entire file of receipts attesting to the extent and quality of refit. She has never had hard service or been beached. We are the second owners and are looking for a larger boat.
